As a fellow educator, I realize the importance of being proactive in order to prepare our students for today's world.  Not only must schools continually update curriculum and course offerings, we must be able to support those changes with technology and facilities that compliment the ever-changing nature of our profession, and are also a compliment to our community.  Fremont did a wonderful job of preparing students for life beyond high school, and I wish the community could understand the need to support the vision for the future.

Incidentally, as principal of Shelby High School, I want to brag about my current district.  Like Fremont, we do a nice job of preparing students for the world.  In the past three years, we have received a grade of "A" consistently.  We are one of only a small handful of schools across the state to do so for three straight years, and one of only two along the lakeshore (Spring Lake is the other school).  Under Jim Peter's leadership, we looked at successful districts around us, and made changes in order to better serve our students.  Fremont is one district that we "stole" ideas from, because of the solid programs that exist there.  I also firmly believe that Jim recommended me for the high school principal position because he knew the background that I came from---starting from a firm foundation K-12 in Fremont Public Schools.

Let me know if there is more that I can do to assist Fremont in moving forward.  I will continue to speak in favor of "building a future for Fremont High School".  I will also continue to pass along the word to my fellow classmates, many of whom are scattered across the US.

Thanks for all you do for FHS and the students.
