Tabitha Lummen Fremont (Class
of 2004) I had the opportunity and pleasure
to coach Tabitha in a summer AYBT program and see her grow right before my
eyes. So many times
you run into and talk about the players with all the talent in the world, but
their work ethic or attitude makes them could-have-beens.
Well, Tabitha was the opposite. She was a girl that knew she wasn’t full of the God-given talent, but her God-given
work ethic and drive was second to none. Tabitha knew that she had to work
hard to get playing time and was willing to sacrifice everything to make sure
the team came first. She did anything asked of her and did so with a smile on
her face. She saw the rewards of hard work and that didn’t
stop on the court. Tabitha was a true friend with a sense of humor and you
could plan on laughing when she was around. This past week, Tabitha was taken from everyone in her life in a tragic auto accident.
Her hard work will always be with me and her smile will always remain a sight
in my eyes and mind. She was a true hero to me in
seeing the many things she did when she just set her sights on succeeding.
She may not be here physically, but Tabitha will always remain with everyone
she touched and she will always be the true definition of a Hangtimer. God Bless you Tabitha for all you
did for me. I will see you again. |
