Text Box: perfect 36 out of 36! “Our congratulations go out to you and your staff for this fine achievement,” writes Joseph Text Box: MR. WORMAN’S WORDS OF WISDOM
More Thanks
Our Reading Incentive Program may be history, but the memory of the Human Birthday Cakes, the 40 staff members dressed as storybook and cartoon characters, and all the other zaniness that went on during the week will remain etched in the memories of our students and visitors for some time to come! Here’s a big Thank You to all those parents who showed up to witness the “cake decorating”. A great time was had by all, and it all took place because our kids read, read, and read some more. Thanks again for all your encouragement!

Parent Requests and Classroom Assignments
As of this writing, we are still uncertain as to our staffing for next year. With the way our pod system is structured at Pathfinder, these decisions impact our staff alignment to a much greater degree than the other schools in the district, so we will need to have these answers before we’ll be able to provide our grade level and pod staffing to our parents. It is our hope, however, that we will have these answers by the middle of May. Once we know, we will be sending a letter home that describes the staffing alignment. We will also provide information on request procedures for those who choose to do so. In the meantime, please stay tuned for more information, and thanks again for your patience!

Tools for Schools
It doesn’t seem possible that we could possibly be talking about the next school year already (didn’t this year just start a short time ago?????), but we do have some
information that may be of benefit to some of our families for next year. NCCS is
organizing their annual Tools for Schools program for 2007-2008. This program is
designed to provide children from eligible families with school supplies and backpacks
for the upcoming school year. On August 9th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at NCCS, eligible families can attend the Tools for Schools event and pick up the backpacks and supplies. If you have any questions about the program, you can call Marleah Fonger at NCCS at 924-0641, extension 137. As always, thanks for listening!

WAY TO GO, BRANDON!!
Just today we received a package from the Continental Math League headquarters in St. James, NY. In this package was a rather large medal for Pathfinder 3rd grader and Pathfinder Continental Math League team member Brandon Clark for being a National Student Winner for the Euclidean Division, Grade 3, of the CML. Out of all the possible points in this year’s three “math meets”, Brandon scored a
