ADMISSIONS TESTS
If
you are planning to attend a four-year college/university after you graduate
from F.H.S., you will need to take a college admissions test. The most
commonly used and accepted test in Since
the majority of our students take the ACT, we will focus on that here. (Questions about the SAT will be answered
on an as-needed basis.) The ACT will
be given at the The
ACT Plus Writing started last winter.
We recommend that all Juniors sign up for the writing portion of the
ACT. Only a few schools require it,
however, if you decide later on that you want to add the writing portion you
must take the whole test again. There
is no way to take only the writing portion. ACT/SAT TEST PREPARATION SEMINARS: MCC is offering a workshop for
students planning to take the ACT college entrance exam. These workshops are designed to increase a
student?s confidence through training in a variety of test taking
strategies. Test directions, test

STATE OF MICHIGAN COMPETITIVE SCHOLARSHIP program is based on both financial need and merit (qualifying ACT score), and is available for use at MI public and private postsecondary schools. The ACT must be taken by December of your senior year in high school for consideration. To be eligible you must achieve a qualifying ACT score; and file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) during senior year and demonstrate financial need; and meet the program?s US citizenship and state residency requirements; and enroll at least half-time at an eligible MI college or university.
