Each class is scheduled for Computer Class/Library Time once a week for a 65-minute period with a certified instructor. The class will spend 20 minutes of that time in the Media Center selecting and checking out books to be read during the week. The class will spend the remaining 45 minutes in the Computer Lab. The main emphasis of instruction in the computer lab is keyboarding. The students will also be introduced to using a computerized card catalog, word processing, the internet, power point, and excel spreadsheet tools. The students are learning to use and care for the tools of technology.
