Daisy Brook Tour - Counselor's Office

The number one goal of the counseling program is to help children develop good mental health skills. This is accomplished through classroom visits, involvement in small group sessions, and by individual contacts.

Students access the counselor by stopping in during break times, asking their teachers to make a contact, by dropping notes in the counselor's mailbox, or by appointment. She also makes an effort to be in the cafeteria during lunch, to stop and chat with a number of students each day. In addition, the counselor offers suggestions and support to teachers and parents.
