The Daisy Brook Media Center consists of reading material for the 4th and 5th grade level, along with some levels above and below. Also there is a Mini-Lab of computers (15 total) that classes can use for special class-related projects.
There are an additional two computers specially set for the Media Center card catalog, which is available to all students. It aids them in finding specific books they wish to check out. It also tells the students if the book they wish to check out is accelerated reader or not. Loose-leaf note books are available that list all the accelerated reader books by reading level as well.
Students have the opportunity to check out the four bulletin boards that change monthly. One is the Character Board that shows the six character traits the students are learn in their classrooms. Another is the Monthly Fast Facts board which lists different things happening or a historical date that coincides with the current month. Another is a Theme Board which relates to something special happening during that month (for ex. Black History Month) and some of the books that are in the Media Center that relate to that current topic. The last board is the Author Spotlight board which focuses on one author, information about the author and the books that author has written.
